4-3-2-1 mindCrawler
Finaly we got a name for our project! 4 - schools 3 - countries 2 - technologies 1 - project mindCrawler Earlier in 2014 I posted a blog entry about how to control a LEGO robo with your thoughts. During a SCIENTIX 2 meeting in Riga I met some collegues from Italy and Hungary and we decided to take this idea to the next level. The involved schools are located in Bad Hofgastein, Klosterneuburg, Verona and Budapest. The main idea behind this project is a cooperation between diff
Mind control LEGO Mindstorms
I have been following the Company EMOTIV for a while now since I watched a TED talk with the founder Tan Le. In Dec. 2013 I decided to try something out with LEGO Mindstorms and you can watch the outcome on the video. #lego #mindstorm #eeg #robot
3D printed camera older
I love to use the #808 keycams as they are light and cheap with quite a good quality. The problem is always the mounting. So I designed some holder which fits to a gopro mount to clip on the keycam. You can get this cams in UK from juuvoo. TIP: get the mobius! All desings and files are available on thingiverse. #quadrocopter #3dprint #design #robot
Some Airtime in July
I finished my foldable Carbon Quadrocopter and was testing the small keycam on the front when I met some friends also with their quadrocopters. This place is also a very nice and scenic location. So I made some footage from flying around.... #quadrocopter #robot
BG/BRG Weiz is building a quadrocopter
As a springo from the quadrocopter workshop which I was giving in march 2013, Helmut Peer from BG/BRG Weiz was building a quadrocopter with his students. Gratulations to this great project! #education #quadrocopter #robot
3D printed Quadrocopter
This project is a combination of 3D printing and quadrocopters. I used google sketchup to design the frame and printed it with the mendel 90. All files are on thingiverse and there are also more details about the parts and some instructions. #quadrocopter #robot #3dprint
ENIS Quadrocopter workshop in Bad Hofgastein
Building a quadrocopter in class is both highly innovative and fits the curriculum in various subjects like physics, chemistry, mathematics, engineering, programming and woodwork. This is suitable for teams of four students. Enjoy and get the idea! I was teaching a group of ENIS teachers from all over Austria how to build a quadrocopter. The workshop took place at the Tourismschool Bad Hofgastein and was a big success. Here is another video from this workshop. #design #quadro
3d printer Mendel 90
After reading a lot about 3D printer I decided finally to build one by myself. I went for the mendel90 hydraraptor based on the reprap project but with a much better design. It prints with 3mm filament ABS and PLA. The printing volume is 20x20x20cm which is quite a big volume. Usually the first question: HOW MUCH IS IT: complete with shipment, filament and tools about 1.000,- € Usually the second question: Where do I get it? There are a lot of sources to get 3D printers. Quadrocopter X360
One of my first small quads was this X360 which I got from multicoptershop.ch. I built it for acrobatic training but also to figure out an easy concept to use in schools. #quadrocopter #robot
